Elizabeth Jane Hurley is an English model and actress who gained fame as the friend of Hugh Grant in the 1990s. Hurley was immediately noticed by the media in 1994 as Grant gained worldwide attention because of the success of Four Weddings and a Funeral. Hurley accompanied Grant at the Los Angeles premiere of the film in a Versace Dress that had a plunge, and was held by gold safetypins. The highlight of Hurley's professional career has been her association with the cosmetics company Estee Lauder. Hurley was commissioned by Estee Lauder to be their first model when she was 29. In 1995 she's been employed as a face for Estee Lauder's cosmetics such as Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures. Her most famous film work was when she played Vanessa Kensington in Mike Myers popular spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999). Hurley has been a model for and creates his own collection of beachwear. Perry's first attempts to be a star in the mainstream did not succeed. Perry had been signed to two record companies, but dropped before she released any material. Capitol Records however released Perry's EP Ur So Gay in 2007. The track that was the title track was a jolly and sly single that garnered little or no interest. I Kissed a Girl, a confident tribute to her fascination with sexuality that is set to a gritty electronic-pop beat, was a big splash several months after. The song quickly stirred debate as some critics accused its promotion of same-sex relationships as well as others argued that the explicit scenario it depicted catered to men's fantasies about sexuality among females. I Kissed a Girl became an international number-one single due to its combination of titillation with a polished melody. It also helped her sell a number of albums, including The One of the Boys. Hot N Cold is a well-known second track. Perry also wrote a lot of the lyrics for the album.
